I have to respectfully disagree with you. Many Jazz and early rock musicians refused to play segregated audiences (Oscar Peterson, Ray Charles) and embraced their culture and orgins. Many talented Jazz musicians won the respect of the white music community because they were talented and innovative. Anyway we are straying away from the point I guess.
